ABOUT CHEF RON
Ron joined the army after graduating from Northern Lebanon in 1981. He attended chef school at the prestigious Hotel Excelsior while in Berlin, Germany. In the summer of 1983, he returned to the states and was stationed at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, outside Washington, D.C. While there, he served as the Presidential Chef's Assistant where he cooked for both President Ronald Reagan and Vice President George Bush.
Ron finished his service duty in 1987 and began cooking at various local venues including The Lantern Lodge in Myerstown, The Hershey Italian Lodge, and the Fenwick Restaurant in Lebanon.
"My personal view of my customers", says Ron, "is that they are the most important part of my job. Quality, taste and customer affordability are high on my list of priorities."
Ron indicates that a few of his personal favorite dishes include his Award-Winning crab cakes, a flavorful tarragon herbed shrimp dish with julienne vegetables, and the chicken Chesapeake.
